Many of us have trouble sleeping at different times in our lives and for different reasons. Losing sleep or not being able to sleep can become stressful and anxiety provoking, that in turn becomes a vicious cycle as we then worry about not sleeping.
The idea, is to change our perspective and thoughts about a lack of sleep. It’s natural to have good and bad night’s sleep for everyone, it’s when this persists over long periods of time that it becomes detrimental.
Lives are busy and we work late in to the night, spend time on social media or use stimulating devices much later than we naturally would if electricity were not be available.
By practicing mindfulness, it helps to bring your mind to the present moment; letting go of the day’s events and affording you the much needed rest and sleep you deserve to work through the following day ahead.
This ‘Mindfulness for sleep’ resource pack is designed to offer some ideas and actions, along with some meditations to support and aid peaceful sleep.
