Anxiety can be a constant and debilitating experience and many of us experience it at certain stages in life, especially when focusing on past negative experiences or when we worry about the outcomes of future events; neither of which we can change or have complete control over. When we become caught up in our heads and our thoughts, we experience increased negative feelings of stress, anxiety and low mood.

Mindfulness is a wonderful tool for managing anxiety symptoms and this course is designed to give a brief overview and some practical mindfulness meditations to support you at times of increased anxiety. This course will help you become more aware of the present moment and it will help you enjoy the World around you more and understand yourself better. When we become more aware of the present moment, we begin to experience afresh things that we have been taking for granted.

Mindfulness allows us to become more aware of the stream of thoughts and feelings that we experience, and to see how we can become entangled in that stream of thoughts in ways that are not helpful.
